A real family feel at Urban Retreat. The owner, CJ, went out of his way to converse with guests and make them feel welcome. The bar prices were very competitive, and the 3 jagerbombs for $15 deal was a personal favorite. The private room was well equipped and had a seriously comfy bed. The location was great, allowing us to walk everywhere. I'll definitely recommend this hotel.

I spent this Easter weekend at a hostel in the city center. the location was great, I was walking distance from all the main attractions. the staff was amazing, they were always happy to help with anything I needed. Lastly, the free breakfast was a nice touch and helped me save some money during my trip.

The dorm I stayed in was pretty noisy and there were a lot of people crammed into a small space. I found it hard to get a good night's rest with all the noise and movement.

Spent an amazing New Year's at a backpackers in NZ! Great value for money, with two complimentary breakfasts and a free shuttle from the bus station. the location was unbeatable, just a short walk from the lake, shops, and restaurants. the bar downstairs was a fun spot to mix and mingle with fellow travelers too!
